The history of HTK

In 1986, Alfons and dr.Geerts devised a calendula ointment, which exceeded all expectations: “the white ointment” (purifying and fit for a sensitive skin), but that was not all. With many children playing in the neighbourhood, who often fall, another soothing ointment soon arrived, on the basis of beeswax. It worked extremely well and we called it: “the yellow ointment”. In 1987, Alfons and dr. Geerts combined these two types of ointment and with the years they refined and improved it in such way that now it is popularly called “wonder ointment”.

The HTK of to-day should be present in every medicine chest, sports bag, handbag, baby bag, luggage, etcetera. Children ask spontaneously for the “Ven ointment”.

All-round ointment...

HTK is easily spreadable and only for external use:

- for recovery after physical effort

- for treatment of muscles at sports, makes the muscles supple

- supports the restoring ability of the skin

- prevents formation of scar tissue

- good for the connective tissue of the skin

- soothes at once

- alleviates the pain of blisters

- wintertime: in case of a  cold, apply on the forehead, in and around the nose

- summertime: when you were in the sun for too long

- in case of irritated skin

- genitals: alternating with the Mono-ointment

Hamamelis

Thanks to this fantastic composition you will feel the comfort of tireless legs and a soft skin.

Hocus Pocus…

In Dutch language Hamamelis is called “Toverhazelaar” (witch-hazel). This plant blossoms early and apparently produces fruit before flowers… “Toverhazelaar” have not stolen its name: it enjoyed already a good reputation with the fighting Northern- American Indians because of its amazing powers. What do you think they looked like after such a battle?  

Hamamelis is only used externally and gives a pleasant gentle feeling once applied. Also people with a dry skin dare to shake hands again.

Berberis

Berberis Aquifolium is very specifically active and rather exceptional. Especially if your skin looks like the skin of an elephant, Berberis scores well.

This sorrow occurs to many people and it is not contagious. Although the cause is frequently unknown, stressful situations or an overloaded liver are often mentioned as the cause. Without knowing the cause, one can cleanse the skin with Alfons Ven shower gel en rub it in with Berberis ointment afterwards. The skin continues tp breathe, so breathing of the skin is not surpressed.  You can rub Berberis where development of negative activities has to be changed in positive ones. For example: in case of red and sensitive skin. Very cleansing impact. Only for outward application.

Hydragel

These extremely gentle gel-cream (between a gel and a cream) contains very valuable ingredients. Especially developed to keep in shape or improve the healthiness of the skin.

Important and unique is that Hydragel does not contain emulsifying agents, therefore the barrier which protects the skin will not be damaged and the skin will remain young and supple!

Mono

Alfons Ven considered the ingredients of this ointment carefully. Did you know that near nettles always “Smalle Weegbree” (Plantago lanceolata) grows? And do you know why that is? You surely know what nettles can do to us! The juice of the bruised leaves of the Plantago lanceolata soothes this problem immediately. This plant is unique because it is both astringent and soothing at the same time. The Plantago lanceolata used for MONO , is freshly plucked in the Mountains of the Ardennes, on walking paths where cars don’t drive .

It is so processed that the best results are noticeable after a short time.
